About Wilson Alimentos
Learn more about the company backgroundLike other Japanese immigrants, Mr. Motoichi's family came by ship from Japan to Santos/SP with the aim of working in rural areas, being directed to the Presidente Prudente region. After a few years of work, Mr. Motoichi founded Bebidas Wilson, in 1945, which was so named, because “Wilson” was a popular name at the time of its founding and thus it could be more easily remembered. With the intention of continuing a family tradition of three centuries as a manufacturer of sake, Bebidas Wilson emerged as a distillates, liqueurs and compound wines industry, becoming one of the most traditional manufacturers of this segment in the country.
After a period of its founding, Mr. Motoichi understood that the company should diversify more and not depend only on one type of product (beverages), and in the 60s, the manufacture of food products began through the launch of the D'ajuda and 1968 pepper sauce lines. shoyu Mitsuwa.
In 1985, Wilson inaugurated a new industrial unit in Regente Feijó, also in the interior of the State of São Paulo. In that year, the lines for processing tomato products were inaugurated, giving rise to products that are nationally sold: ketchup and the D'ajuda line of sauces and extracts. Subsequently, new lines of food products were incorporated, which today are part of the company's success story: the line of powdered soft drinks, mayonnaise, mustard, condiments and powdered chocolate.
As of 2006, Bebidas Wilson assumed the name Alimentos Wilson, as a food manufacturer, starting a new cycle of renewal and growth in the company's history.
